Je suis très touchée par ton témoignage de Ralph (d'ailleurs, je vais lui envoyer un message d'amitié et de soutien), j'espère sincèrement qu'il soit acquitté.

Chère Alba !

Je correspond avec un condamné à mort depuis quelques mois, et on s'est déjà écrit beaucoup de courrier, il s'appelle Marion Dudley, il est depuis 10 ans au couloir de la mort de Polunsky au Texas.
Et voilà Dix ans qu'il clame son innocence.
Lui aussi est noir et de milieu défavorisé, mais on est tous conscient que l'injustice sociale et raciale est de rigueur aux Usa. Le fait d'ajouter Afro ou hispano etc... devant Américain en est un pur exemple.
Ne te décourage pas pour tes correspondants, continue à te battre, c'est dur je le sais aussi, mais je ne cesse pas de contacter toutes les personnes qui peuvent l'aider autour de moi, et je découvre des gens de bonté et parfois des gens découragé par la situation, mais je ne cesse pas d'avoir de l'espoir et de me battre pour Marion.

Jackson cooperated with the prosecution and agreed to testify against Stokes in exchange for a guilty plea to second-degree murder and a life sentence. The prosecution proceeded to trial against Stokes and sought the death penalty. At trial, Jackson testified that he willingly participated in the armed robbery that Stokes had devised. However, Jackson told the jury, the shootings were not part of the plan and Stokes killed his co-workers because they would have identified him. Mills, who escaped death on the day of the robbery, also testified for the state. He knew Stokes from working with him at a previous job. Mills described the robbery and the murder of his co-workers; he too identified Stokes as the shooter. On July 22, 1983, the jury found Stokes guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and related charges. Following a penalty hearing, the jury found two aggravating circumstances: creating a grave risk of death to another person in addition to the victim of the offense, and killing while in the perpetration of a felony. The jury found no mitigating circumstances and sentenced Stokes to death after deliberating for less than an hour."
